Day Two- Traveling to Fraser, CO

I didn't get time to post yesterday, so I am doing it today.

The night that we were at the hotel Preston let me have the nice bed, so I got to have a whole bed to myself. We left the hotel at about 8:00 am. About an hour into out trip we passed through the time change, so right know I am writing this at 7:33am our time and 8:33am mountain time. So mountain time is and hour ahead of us.
We got to our condo at about 2:00pm mountain time. I LOVE our condo!!!! It is called "mouse lodge" so there are little mouse tings EVERYWHERE. That is a little cheesy but the way the condo is set up is wonderful. When you walk in the front door you see the living room and kitchen. Oh, and there is a big stone fireplace. Any way then if you turn right you go down a little hallway at the end of the hallway is the boy's room, bathroom, and Mom and Dad's bedroom/bathroom. Also down the hallway is a flight of stairs leading to my bedroom/bathroom. My bedroom is a loft bedroom with curtains for a little privacy (isn't that ironic??).

After we got to the condo and got settled in, me and Mom started watching "Driving Miss. Daisy" which by the way is SUCH A SWEET MOVIE!!! About half way through the movie Mom and I went down to the grocery store. After dinner (we had shrimp) we played poker :P! It was fun, we only betted with the little chips though :). After the poker game we had a little bit of cookie dough ice cream and finished the movie. After that we all went to bed. That was about the extent of our day.
Oh the mountains were SOOOOOO PRETTY!! I always love after we have been driving through Kansas for a while to see the first glips of the mountains in the distance. They are always so breathtaking. Then we got to drive through the mountains, that was a little scary. We were taking hairpin turns while driving up with a drop of like a thousand feet right beside us AHHH! But they were just amazing!
That's it for now! In about an hour we are going to go have our skiing lessons, I am nervous, I hope that it will be fun!!!

School

So I often have trouble with keeping up with school so here are some of my ideas for staying on track! So first thing is you need a place were you can do your school, I usually do mine on my bed, but if it helps for you to be sitting at a desk then GO AHEAD! One thing you have to remember when you are doing school on your bed is that you HAVE you have it organized! Everything needs to be within easy reach while you are working. Like before I start school I have to make sure that I have my computer, my books, a pen/pencil, and my notebook handy.

If you have a hard time concentrating on school, or have a hard time drowning out other noises. One thing that you an do is load up your Ipod with music that is a good white noise (songs you know really good, or songs without words) Or if you cannot concentrate with music on try turning a fan on.

On thing that I like to do is to write all of my things that I have for school on a chart like this- (click on the underlined words underneath the picture to see it larger)

Also one thing that I like to do is write down all that I have to do for that day in a lot more detale in a cute notebook like this- I also write down a lot of my finished homework in here.

I like to have notebooks that have fun things like tabs or a pen on the inside. It is also nice to have one with lines.

One thing that is REALLY important is good lighting, whether is ceiling light or a lamp

I got this cool little doohicky for Christmas, it has a sticky back and you can just stick it on to anything and you can put any pen or pencil in it and it is always handy, I love this because I am always loosing my pens I can just stick it on here and I can always know where a pen is.
