Cupcake Candle

What you need- a macorwavable cup/bowl (I ended up using a glass jar) just use something that you can throw away because the wax will be impossible to get off. and Some thing to stir the mixture with.
a cupcake pan, foil cupcake liners,
1. Put the foil cupcake liners into the cupcake pan

put a little bit of the wax into a jar and warm it up in two minute intervals, until the wax is melted

While you are waiting for the wax to melt you can peel the paper of of the crayons

when the wax is part way melted, put the crayon in (you should color it something that can be a cupcake flavor) then finish melting the wax/crayon
poor a little bit of the wax into each liner
Take a piece of the wick and bend it into a "L" shape
put the wick into one of the wax "cupcakes"
Repeat for all the rest of the "cupcakes", then let them cool until the wax is fairly firm
While you are waiting for the wax to cool, melt a little bit more wax, and a crayon (this will be the icing), in a different jar,
:D Dad wanted a picture of his nose on here :P HAHAHA

When the wax is melted poor a little bit over the "cupcakes"
If you want you can add some sprinkles or other decorations

TADA! a pretty little cupcake!

Day Five, at the ski park

Yes I forgot to write yesterday, sorry! but I am writing now instead :)
So yesterday we all went to the ski resort. Dad, Preston and Jono all went skiing. For the first like hour or so Mom and I just watched. Around 11:00 Mountain Time Mom and I rented some snow shoes. We got on the ski left to take us up to the place were we were going to snowshoe. When we got on Mom knocked Dad off the ski lift, we were still close to the ground so he didn't get hurt very bad. After riding up the ski lift (without dad) we hiked around for about two hours. When we got back down (not after getting lost) we watched the boys ski for a while, then we all left.
Back at home Mom and Dad went on a little date to this AMAZING Chinese restaurant down the road. We watched some TV (I never knew that the food channel could be so exciting :) ). After Mom and Dad got home we watched another "White Collar" and played a game of dominoes. Me and Jono had a sleepover in my room. The day was fun, but there is not much to write about :)

Day Four- Tubing/walking/funning (I know "funning isn't a word, but it should be)

Today Mom and I went tubing! It was sooo much fun!!!!!! The boys went skiing again. So around 9:30 Mountain Time we left for the tubing place. We walked there, it was about a two mile walk, but it wasn't that bad. Our condo is kind of on the top of the hill, so we had to walk down the hill, through the little town, and back up the hill on the other side (the town is in a little valley).
The tubing place was a little odd, like the inside of it is just a little shack with purple walls (yes the walls were purple). The lady that helped us was still in her p. j. pants :). Every body was really nice, but just a little scraggly looking. so we got our tubes and went over to the hill. The top of the hill was like fifty yard across, the hill was like 200 yards long! It was SOOO FUN! The tubes were like inner tubes, but a little sturdier (like water tubing tubes). To get back up the hill they had this like big wire that had hooks atached to it, it was in a big circle ( I hope this makes since). Any way you would hand your tube to a helper person and they would hook the big handle to the hooks on the tube. You would sit in the tube and it would take you up the hill, it looked something like this -
The hill was not very busy so it was really fun! We did that for about a hour. Then we went back into the town, and had lunch at this nice little Chinese restaurant the food there was REALLY good. Mom and I split and order of Lemon Chicken. Then we walked over to the thrift store, and then the grocery store to get some tea for Preston, and hot Cider mix for me.
Then we started the long treck back up the big hill home. So we wanted to take a different route up the hill so we didn't have to deal with all the traffic. So we started up this other road, but it just ended in a big parking lot (the whole hillside is covered in different condos so it was hard to know where we were). So Mom figured it would be a good idea to just climb up this SUPER steep part of the mountain. So we climbed up that. We came up in a place that was no where that we needed to be :). so after wondering around for a while we finnaly found our condo!!! That was all that was exciting in the day :). Oh me and Mom watched "My Big Fat Greek Wedding", which was a really good movie! Well we are getting ready to watch a "White Collar" (a really good TV show) and eat some ice cream. GOOD NIGHT!

Day Three- Skiing

I woke up around 6:30 Central Time and at about 8:30am we left for the ski resort. First we stopped at the rental place to get our skis, boots, helmets and poles. Then we headed to the ski resort. At the resort we had lessons with this nice man named Gary.
To tell you the truth I didn't really like skiing. I feel REALLY out of control when I am doing it and I go to fast :). I am not really that surprised that I didn't like it because I don't even like sledding. I think I would have liked it more if it wasn't so fast, and I could stop better. Anyway after we got finished with the skiing lessons we Mom and I went down a little snow tubing hill a couple times, that was really fun. After we did the tubing for a little bit we finally got up the nerve to try skiing again. Mom didn't like the ski lift and I didn't like the skiing :). We watched to boys for a while. Jonathan got the hang of it really quick, by the end of the day he was doing some of the little ramps! Dad and Preston got the hang of it pretty good, but not as good as Jono. Preston's boots were herting him, and he couldn't get the hang of stopping :). I think that Dad is about as good as Jono, he is just not as much of a dare devil.
We came home around 2:30pm, we hung out for a while and then we had dinner and watched a TV show and had ice cream. Tomorrow the boys are going skiing again but me and mom are going to do something else.
Sorry this was short and boring, but it is bed time :).

Day Two- Traveling to Fraser, CO

I didn't get time to post yesterday, so I am doing it today.
The night that we were at the hotel Preston let me have the nice bed, so I got to have a whole bed to myself. We left the hotel at about 8:00 am. About an hour into out trip we passed through the time change, so right know I am writing this at 7:33am our time and 8:33am mountain time. So mountain time is and hour ahead of us.
We got to our condo at about 2:00pm mountain time. I LOVE our condo!!!! It is called "mouse lodge" so there are little mouse tings EVERYWHERE. That is a little cheesy but the way the condo is set up is wonderful. When you walk in the front door you see the living room and kitchen. Oh, and there is a big stone fireplace. Any way then if you turn right you go down a little hallway at the end of the hallway is the boy's room, bathroom, and Mom and Dad's bedroom/bathroom. Also down the hallway is a flight of stairs leading to my bedroom/bathroom. My bedroom is a loft bedroom with curtains for a little privacy (isn't that ironic??).
After we got to the condo and got settled in, me and Mom started watching "Driving Miss. Daisy" which by the way is SUCH A SWEET MOVIE!!! About half way through the movie Mom and I went down to the grocery store. After dinner (we had shrimp) we played poker :P! It was fun, we only betted with the little chips though :). After the poker game we had a little bit of cookie dough ice cream and finished the movie. After that we all went to bed. That was about the extent of our day.
Oh the mountains were SOOOOOO PRETTY!! I always love after we have been driving through Kansas for a while to see the first glips of the mountains in the distance. They are always so breathtaking. Then we got to drive through the mountains, that was a little scary. We were taking hairpin turns while driving up with a drop of like a thousand feet right beside us AHHH! But they were just amazing!
That's it for now! In about an hour we are going to go have our skiing lessons, I am nervous, I hope that it will be fun!!!

Day One- Traveling to Colby, KS

I will put pictures on later, I am taking pictures of everything as I go but I am not going to be able to put them on the internet because I forgot the cord ….
Anyway, we left at 6:00am on Saturday morning (today), after eight hours of pit stops, snack
food, books on tape, and movies we finally reached our hotel. We are staying for one night at the Quality Inn, in the town of Colby, KS.
There was a little mix up when we got here; mom asked the lady if there were two beds in our
room. Woops, they had gotten us a room with only one bed, which was NOT going to work for our family or five. So the lady said that she would just have to put us in a suite for the same price, bummer :) . So our room is nice and big, and guess what!!It has a large flat screen tv! It alsohas a fold out couch so I don’t have to sleep on the floor.
After we got settled in Jonathan, Mom, Dad and I went swimming. I have to say I was not very impressed withthe pool. I am used to pools at hotels being small so that didn’t really bother me, I guess I was just not impressed with the bathrooms (we changed in the bathrooms at the pool because we had to walk outside to get to the pool and it is cold out, Plus we didn’t really want
to traipse around outside in our swimsuits) . YUCK! The bathrooms were NASTY, they reminded me of a dirty gas station bathroom, but that is ok.
Then me and Jono dashed back to the room (wearing our swimsuits). I took a shower. After Mom got done with her shower we went to pizza hut and got dinner. I am sitting on our couch right now, Mom is sitting beside me reading, Dad is walking around eating a cookie and cleaning up, Jono is sitting on one bed on his computer, and Preston is on the other bed reading. In a little bit we are going to watch a TV show, but for now we are just chillin'.
I will TRY to post every day, but don't get mad at me if I don't. Some of my posts might be a little "I am still alive, and I am going to bed" but whatever :). I am planning on posting pictures as soon as we get home.

ahhhhh, Vacation!!!!!!

So GUESSS WHAT????? I am going on vacation! We are leaving on the 18th as in THIS SATURDAY!! Cool huh!!?? So we are going to Colorado to go skiing. I have never been skiing before so I am not sure how good I will be, but I am sure that I will have fun no matter what. If you want to see the place we are staying at go here- http://www.vrbo.com/335774. I get the loft bedroom (the one with a queen bed and a day bed). I am soooooooooooooo excited!!!!!! We are leaving on Saturday, and stopping at a hotel for Sunday night. We will get to the lodge sometime in the afternoon on Sunday. We are going to take skiing lessons on Monday, and Tuesday and Wednesday we are skiing. Thursday we're just going to hang out, maybe go sight seeing or shopping. We will head home on Friday, and stop at a hotel on Friday night. Then we will get home on Saturday (it takes 13-14 hours of driving time to get there). The only sad part is that Elizabeth is not going to come :(. but even that is not that sad because Olivia has been REALLY wanting to watch Lizzy and she is going to watch Liz during the week.

WOW!

I saw this video the other day and it just astounded me, first that there is such talent that someone who you think of as just the pizza delivery guy, and second that you can do almost anything you set your mind to. I mean this guy had MAJOR stage fright and doing this was WAY out of his comfort zone, but he did it anyway.
